Saltire Facilities Management is building sustainable communities in partnership with public sector organisations and social landlords all over the country.

Decarbonisation of existing housing stock is one of the biggest challenges facing organisations today, as the country sets its sights on achieving the target of net-zero emissions by 2050. Acting as a decarbonisation partner to councils, housing associations, and social landlords, Saltire is actively building a greener, cleaner future for the country.

Through its many public sector partnerships, Saltire serves more than 120,000 households and commercial properties. Retrofitting homes is a critical pillar of the government’s plans to reach zero-carbon status, and Saltire is making change happen through:

  • Installation of A rated energy efficient boilers
  • Solar panels (PV)
  • Solar battery chargers
  • Electric vehicle chargers
  • Air source heat pumps

Saltire offers complete home services on a scale unmatched by many competitors, and is currently one of the largest renewables, gas services, and electrical specialists.

North Lanarkshire Council

Saltire’s key client for more than 20 years, North Lanarkshire Council relies on Saltire for a wide range of services, notably renewables installations and maintenance, boiler servicing and maintenance, central heating upgrades, and fire alarm upgrades, in 37,000 homes across the region. Saltire works hand in hand with NLC, using shared planning and scheduling software, enabling a seamless working partnership between the companies, and a smoother process for tenants. With the most recent award of a £10million contract, NLC is a key client for Saltire.

Viewpoint Housing Association

Saltire was awarded a gas servicing and maintenance contract by Viewpoint in 2017, which was valued at approximately £3million. The contract has been extended to 2023.

Saltire was awarded a 15-year contract by Stonewater, one of the UK’s fastest-growing housing providers, delivering gas servicing, installations, and maintenance at more than 3300 properties. Working across the West Midlands, Coventry, Staffordshire, and Warwick, Saltire’s Midlands-based teams are targeted to carry out gas boiler installations at 132 properties each year but regularly exceeds this, with 168 carried out in 2020 alone, as well as more than 3000 service visits.
