Here at Saltire all our staff are working hard to continue to provide a great service for all our customers and the communities we serve. When any Saltire operative attends your property they will have a personal protective kit in case it is required.
Every telephone call we take during this crisis will be closely monitored and for limited time have extra questions that must be asked to ensure that your safety and our staffs safety will not be compromised.
Every customer will have a different need so please give us the best information you can so that we can risk assess each and every home prior to our visit to ensure that we can take all necessary steps to keep everyone safe.
It is also important to note that the government guidelines state that we should remain at least 2 metres apart from each other therefore we would appreciate that when possible and where practical as much distance as possible is kept between our staff and our customers.
We will continue to operate to keep all our customers safe and warm and without compromise if we can all work together to create a safe working environment.
As you are aware, COVID-19 has had a direct impact on everyone’s lives in recent months both in a professional and personal capacity.
During this time, Saltire took the decision in accordance with Scottish Government guidelines to put our non-essential work on hold in order to keep our own staff safe and also limit visits to people’s homes thus limiting the potential spread of COVID-19.
We have continued to be available 24/7/365 for our customers to contact us should they have any emergency or urgent repairs that need to be carried out. However, we haven’t lettered you as we would normally to give you a date for your annual safety check as all annual servicing of private homeowner properties was placed into the non-essential category.
Now that restrictions have been eased, we are more than happy to carry this out for you should you be happy for us to enter your home at this time or soon. If this is the case, please contact us to arrange your appointment. We are aware that some people are still shielding or are just generally concerned about people out with family entering their home and for that reason, we are offering the option as oppose to turning up to your property without prior agreement.
The alternative is that we link the service to the next visit we make to your property to carry out a repair.
Our Call Centre and operatives continue to be available 24/7/365 to carry out any emergency work you may require as we have been during the last few difficult months.
We are also complying with the social distancing guidelines. Should we be visiting your property to carry out works, we would ask you or anyone else present in the property to vacate the room the operative is working in and they will then let you know when they have finished.
As things progress, we will be sure to keep you updated on the situation and works being carried out both on our website and social media pages.
Please be assured that we are always on hand to assist by calling 0330 202 0444.
