It‘s that time again…we’re recruiting new apprentices

As part of our commitment to training the future leaders in our industry, we’re opening up applications for apprenticeships for 2024.

The future of our company is so bright; with a vibrant and growing apprentice community, our workforce is fairly young, and that makes Saltire a company full of ideas, hustle, and ambition. This generation of young people is proactive and ambitious, and they know they’re in charge of their own futures. As our business continues to grow, these young people will develop into industry leaders with knowledge, passion, and confidence, and that sets Saltire streets ahead of the competition.

We recruit apprentices in both our Gas and Electrical departments. All apprentices will receive expert guidance and support in order to reach their fullest potential.

As our apprenticeship programmes are in very high demand, we set a minimum criteria in order to ensure the best possible chances of success for anyone starting on their journey with us.

Apprentices must have a minimum of the NAT 5s including Maths, English and a Science subject, and most importantly an interest in the industry and a commitment to learning.

Applicants for our Electrical programme must have passed the SECTT test. Details of this can be found on the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust website here.

Applicants for our Gas programme will complete an in-house assessment, after which the top scorers will be invited to the interview stage.
