Glasgow-headquartered property service provider, Saltire Facilities Management, has continued to expand its renewable energy division with the award of a large battery storage and solar PV multi-term contract, cementing its position as one of the leading renewables installation, service, and maintenance companies in Scotland.
The contract, won by Saltire after a competitive tender process was awarded by long-standing client, North Lanarkshire Council, and will span a three-year period with work due to commence this month. Saltire Facilities Management, one of the largest gas central heating businesses in the UK, specialises in the social housing sector, and currently works with clients across Scotland and the Midlands of England.
Under the contract the Bellshill-based business will install battery storage systems and solar PV panels to properties within the North Lanarkshire Council housing stock, and is part of North Lanarkshire Council’s commitment to decarbonising their housing stock and improving sustainability of their properties, whilst reducing energy bills for their tenants.
Electrical Engineering Manager, Stevie Kerrigan, who has overall operational responsibility for the delivery of the contract commented; “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by North Lanarkshire Council.
